Gurit to open wind blade mold facility in Europe

Gurit, Zurich, Switzerland, plans to open a wind blade mold production facility in Szczecin, Poland. The expansion is targeted at further increasing the company’s tooling market share in Europe.

Gurit has been serving European wind blade manufacturers with wind blade mold and related equipment since 2010. The company says the new production facility in Szczecin, Poland, will improve customer proximity and enable even faster delivery times.

The new site will complement the production center in Taicang, China, optimizing the utilization of core competencies and the efficient allocation of resources. The start of production in Szczecin is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2016.
