Composites One, 3M Aerospace partner to extend aerospace industry services
Composites One will now offer a portfolio of 3M’s innovative film adhesive and primers solutions, with a commitment to supply the aerospace market.
Composites One (Arlington Heights, Ill., U.S.) announced on Dec. 1 that it has formed an important alliance with 3M Aerospace (St. Paul, Minn., U.S.). This agreement will reportedly position Composites One to continue to service the aerospace industry with the complete line of 3M’s OEM-specified film adhesives, primers and surface protection products. It will also further enhance the partnership Composites One already shares with 3M.
In the aerospace market weight reduction and increased efficiency is more important than ever, says Composites One, and when it comes to applications for interior, structural or repair applications, optimizing costs from design to maintenance to production is critical. Together with 3M, the company will offer a portfolio of innovative film adhesive and primers solutions that include high temperature and high toughness applications, as well as core splicing and lightning strike.
“Composites One is establishing itself as a leader in the aerospace market,” says Dwight Baker, Composites One VP of Aerospace. “By forming this alliance with 3M Aerospace we will be able to offer reliable, industry-leading products to our customers which carry the specifications they require, as well as many other composite materials they need to be successful.”
Composites One is committed to supplying the aerospace industry the most complete aerospace composites product portfolio. With 44 distribution centers throughout North America, several of which are AS9120 certified, the company provides best-in-class supply chain and frozen storage solutions that reduce lead-times and make products readily available. Combined with the industry’s leading composites technical expertise, Composites One says aerospace manufacturers can rest assured knowing they are using the right products to produce the results they seek.
