Bitrez Ltd. (Wigan, U.K.), a manufacturer of specialist polymers and chemicals, announced on August 11 that it launched a new service to provide customers with technical data on a broad portfolio of specialist resins used in the formulation of advanced coatings, adhesives and composites via the free, members-only, section of its website, My Bitrez.
According to the company, My Bitrez offers the user everything they need to know about the latest developments such as REACH-compliant alternatives, green bio-epoxy curing agents which mitigate the use of Mannich-based formulas used in marine and construction and BPA free phenolic resins used to coat food packaging. Bitrez also contends that My Bitrez offers in-depth product presentations and data sheets free online, providing descriptions, applications, key properties and specifications.
“After decades of intensive R&D, working with academia, research institutes and some of the largest companies in the world, we have been able to create this library of information of specialist resins,” says Dominic Hopwood, Bitrez’s resin sales manager. “This has allowed us to share our research in an easy-to-use format, with concise data sheets and technical information all in one place.”
Bitrez says by creating an account, users can also discover general information about Bitrez and the services the company offers such as its contract manufacturing capabilities and composite technology overview, product information and technical information surrounding Bitrez’s products. This enables the user to explore material grades, brochures and guides.
