Bercella, EikonTech to launch an end-to-end service for composites in Italy

Bercella srl (Parma, Italy), with 25 years of experience manufacturing composite components, has signed a strategic agreement with EikonTech srl (Pisa, Italy), an Angel Group company specializing in high-level engineering solutions in the fields of computational science, artificial intelligence, applied electromagnetism and radio communications.

Under this agreement, both companies will develop a complete service for the design, qualification and manufacture process of devices such as reflector antennas, radomes (structures used to protect the antennas), other terrestrial and satellite communication equipment and composite structures with high mechanical and electromagnetic performance. The common goal is to promote a process of continuous innovation through the interaction between the various disciplines throughout the product development flow.

According to both parties, the integration of design and production knowledge will also enable time, cost and efficiency optimization for key evolving sectors in Italy, including aerospace, defense, naval and and civil markets.

“We are convinced that the telecommunications market, in which we have been present for more than 20 years with the supply of composite radomes and reflectors, offers very interesting prospects, especially for the aerospace and defense segments,” notes the parties in a joint comment about the agreement. “This partnership allows us to offer our customers a one-stop-shop capable of reducing time and costs, while at the same time increasing the technological level of the services and products offered.”
