Thermoplastic Composites: Commercial Use Cases in Automotive, Oil and Gas, and Industrial Markets

June 10, 2021 |

Thermoplastic composites have traditionally been discussed in the context of R&D projects, but over the last three decades their use within commercial applications has grown significantly.

This webinar will look at use cases across a variety of industries.

Agenda:

  • Thermoplastic composite manufacturing, including in-situ consolidation via automated fiber placement (AFP)
  • Importance of thermoplastic composite use in e-mobility
  • Commercial uses of advanced composite bearings
  • Serial manufacturing of thermoplastic composite tubes
  • Commercial success of thermoplastic composites for downhole O&G applications

Presenter 1:

Mike Urbanski

Product Sales Engineer

Mike has worked in the composites industry for five years. As a product sales engineer, Mike manages business development—in the automotive, life sciences, industrial, defense & military and R&D markets—solving customer problems using thermoplastic composites. He and the TSS Albany team can help design and deliver a tailored composite solution using optimal materials, manufacturing process, and engineering support to reduce costs and time to market.
