Panex 35 products: Our commercial grade 50K PANEX® 35 carbon fibers are the lowest-cost carbon fiber on the market. We manufacture from an abundant textile-based precursor material that matches and outperforms "aerospace-grade" carbon fibers in tensile strength and modulus. In addition, our proprietary carbon fiber lines enable us to expand capacity at a fraction of the cost and time that is required by our competitors. This is vital to support large-volume applications that require significant amounts of carbon fiber in a short period of time.
Panex 30 products: PANEX® 30 products are PAN based materials that are >99% carbonized. These high-purity products are derived from Zoltek's high temperature batch carbonization process. They are most often used in extreme applications that demand resistance to harsh temperature and chemical environments. All PANEX® 30 materials are thermally stable and chemically pure.
Pyron products: PYRON® is our oxidized PAN fiber that is inherently flame resistant, which makes it an effective heat-blocking and fire barrier material. PYRON® fibers do not burn, melt, or drip. Instead, they char and self-extinguish. The largest application for PYRON® is the aircraft brake market, where it holds the dominant position in the marketplace. We have produced our oxidized PYRON® technical fibers for over 20 years, allowing us fine-tune our process and become the largest oxidized PAN fiber producer in the world.
