Precision Board Plus HDU Tooling Board is a “closed cell” rigid urethane product that produces more chips and less dust during machining and is unaffected by commonly used solvents. PBHT (Precision Board Plus High Temperature) is made to withstand autoclave curing cycles of up to 300^o and will not out-gas or affect prepreg cure. PBHT and PBLT possess excellent dimensional stability and machining characteristics, are non-abrasive and easily machined with standard HSS cutting tools.

With more than 35 years experience in bonding urethane HDU tooling board, we’ve mastered the technique of achieving very tight bond lines. The result is that your Custom Tooling Block performs and machines like a single cast piece.

PB Fast Set is an amber colored, one part, urethane adhesive that fully cures in 30 minutes. It works well for indoor or outdoor applications. It cures from liquid to solid with a slight amount of moisture. Use it to join Precision Board Plus HDU tooling board sheets to make them longer or wider, and for laminating sheets together to make them thicker. The consistency of PB Fast Set is similar to honey, making it easy to apply directly from the container. No mixing is required. Easy to cut, carve, sand or machine. PB Fast Set cuts cleanly. Cures to full strength in 30 minutes. For slower cure and more working time, use PB Bond-240.

PB Bond-240 is an amber colored, one part, urethane adhesive that works well for indoor or outdoor applications. It cures from a liquid to a solid state with a slight amount of moisture. Use it to join Precision Board Plus HDU tooling board sheets to make them longer or wider, and for laminating sheets together to make them thicker. The consistency of PB Bond-240 is similar to honey, making it easy to apply directly from the container. No mixing is required. Cure time: 4 hours before moving, full strength in 12 hours.
