IAC Industries (Brea, Calif.) has introduced the Multi-Task System (MTS) an upper structure for standalone workbenches, which creates a vertical space above the worksurface for storage units, shelving, parts cups, electrical outlets, lighting and other accessories to relieve worksurface clutter. The fixture attaches to the rear of the worksurface (requires a 1.5-inch rear overhang) or the workbench frame, and is available in sizes to fit bench lengths of 48-, 60-, 72- and 96-inch workbenches. Manufactured from 12-gauge steel, the unit uprights are double-slotted at 1-inch/25.4-mm increments, for maximum flexibility, and can be had with a broad range of shelving and other productivity accessories, finished with high-durability powder coat paint in a variety of colors.
