Chopcot Technology, from Van der Mast Industrial Innovations (Eelde, The Netherlands) is the basis for this company's new glass fiber and carbon fiber choppers. Slots cut in the chopper's pressure roller are lined up with blade tips on the "chopcot" or blade roller, which features elastic push-back ribs positioned between the blades that apply a concentrated bending moment to fiber filaments while strands are simultaneously stretched.
