Flow International Corp. (Kent, Wash.) has launched FlowMaster 6.0, a Windows-based waterjet control system. FlowMaster software features reportedly give operators the ability to improve cycle time performance up to 35 percent; program and cut parts with varying thicknesses, using programmable Z-axis capability; view and path parts in full 3-D for easy design; and optimize cut speed for part corners, to reduce cycle time. Additionally, the software improves edge quality by controlling speed to reduce marks on parts and save time through automatic calculations. The software can reduce the number of operational steps and increase output as well as enhance file support (including DFX format) for AutoCAD 2004.
