Axel Plastics Research Laboratories (Woodside, N.Y.) has announced the introduction of a new water-based mold release, MoldWiz WB-2700, designed for molding conditions associated with the filament winding process. The release is a silicone-free emulsion of fatty acids, polyolefins and surfactants in a water base. The product is a 10 percent active release product that can be diluted, if desired. The release is said to contain no hazardous materials, making it safe for both the user and the environment.
