Grieve Corp.'s (Round Lake, Ill.) No. 990 electrically heated (500ºF/260ºC), walk-in batch oven is designed to cure vacuum-bagged composite parts. Its 4-inch/102-mm walls, insulated throughout, have aluminized steel interior and exterior sheathing and enclose a workspace 60 inches wide by 60 inches deep by 72 inches high (1.52m by 1.52m by 1.83m). It features 40 kW capability in its Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements; a 3,300-cfm, 2-hp recirculating blower that provides horizontal/vertical airflow around the workload; and a four-position vacuum manifold, with a gauge and a hand valve for each position. Controls and safety equipment include a programmable digital temperature controller and a manual-reset-excess temperature controller, with separate contactors.
