Norcross Corp. (Newton, Mass.) has developed the In-Line Viscosity and Isolated Temperature Control System, which can be used with adhesives, coatings and inks. The system features an isolated temperature sensor and a proprietary cooling device that reportedly eliminate the need to clean the line and apparatus. Capable of providing ±3°F (±1.6°C) temperature control from 70°F to 110°F (21°C to 43.3°C), the system can be configured for use with fluids from 0.5 cps to 3,000 cps. Available with automatic or manual controllers, systems can range from 1 to 10 stations. Prices start at $19,000 (USD), depending on the configuration.
