High-Performance Composites

Developed by Schnee-Morehead Inc. and exclusively distributed in North America by Richmond Aircraft Products (Norwalk, Calif., U.S.A.), SM5170 premium sealant tapes are designed for use in a wide range of applications and across a wide range of temperatures, making the product ideal for the automotive and aerospace industries. The tape is functional up to 232°C/450°F, strips cleanly when warm or cold, is easy to apply and forms a vacuum-tight seal that adheres excellently to nylon films and tool surfaces, says the company. The tape is light beige before cure, turning a mustard color when curing is completed.
