Henkel Corp.'s (Rocky Hill, Conn.) newly introduced Loctite ZETA 7760 high-energy UV wand features a 200-watt HPMA lamp that outputs up to 20 W/cm2 of UV light in the 250 nm to 410 nm wavelength range. One light source can power up to four separate cure areas and is designed for spot-curing applications, performing best on cure areas of 0.5-inch/12.7-mm in diameter and smaller, says the company. It features an auto-ranging (90 VAC to 265 VAC, 50 Hz to 60 Hz) solid-state power supply, a universal power supply and an optional liquid light guide. An hour meter monitors use of the system's 1,000 hours of expected UV lamp life. The system can be operated manually or via timed shutter light exposure.
