Lord Corp. (Cary, NC, US) has introduced LORD 810, a two-component, low read-through acrylic adhesive with LORD Accelerator 20. It is said to offer a fast cure time and no bond-line read-through. Other features include good flexibility, low exotherm, low shrinkage, 90% cure within 1 hour, glass bead filler for precise bond line control, little to no substrate preparation, non-sagging and good peel strength. It can be used to bond metal-to-composite, metal-to-plastic or metal-to-metal. Work time is 8-12 minutes at 21°C, tensile strength is 5.8 MPa, elongation is 190%, Tg is 43°C and Shore D hardness is 40.
