Bacon Industries Inc. (Watertown, Mass.) has developed LCA 127, a thermally conductive, electrically insulating epoxy adhesive. It has a paste consistency and reportedly will not run on vertical surfaces. Properties include high modulus, low coefficient of thermal expansion and a Shore D hardness of 87. The adhesive is available in 30g one-shot kits, 4-oz kits or quart kits, and also can be provided premixed and frozen in 1-, 3-, 6-, 10- and 30-cc syringes. Also new: the company’s six-page product selection guide featuring adhesives for bonding, potting, sealing, impregnating and coating. The guide lists viscosity, work life, recommended cure times and typical cured properties. Applications covered include those in electronic, medical and aerospace products.
