Hernon Manufacturing Inc. (Orlando, Fla.) has developed the Autobonder 2101, a tabletop adhesive dispenser for low-volume production and repair operations. Representing a new design, the small, lightweight unit reportedly can dispense a wide variety of low- to high-viscosity adhesives and sealants, including anaerobics, cyanoacrylates, silicones and epoxies. An integrated pressure gauge and pressure regulator allow for precise dispensing of material. The dispenser has a fully grounded foot pedal and includes a syringe holder, allowing the operator to use both hands for cycling and presenting parts. For more precise dispensing control, the syringe also can be handheld. The unit is designed to accommodate a wide range of disposable needle sizes available from the company.
