Onsrud Cutter LP (Libertyville, Ill.) has introduced what it bills as the "most complete line of drills for composites applications." The solid carbide drill bits incorporate an eight-faceted point design — featuring four cutting edges, with two facets per edge — that reportedly reduces cutting forces and eliminates delamination of the composite when exiting material on the opposite side. Bits come in nearly 50 standard sizes and can be custom-sized and/or specially coated to prolong useful life.
