ANSYS Inc. (Canonsburg, Pa.) announced the availability of ASAS 14 structural element software, and AQWA 5.6, a hydrodynamic assessment software suite, for the offshore oil and marine industries. ASAS 14 offers a simple method of defining internal tank loading for vessels as well as a unique nonlinear, coupled wave-structure interaction facility that has been enhanced with the addition of effective tension for curved tubular elements.
