Chem-Trend (Howell, Mich.) has introduced Chemlease CPR, a new semi-permanent mold release system developed for applications where pre-release is a concern. The manufacturer says the release has been developed for applications on very large parts that are typically prone to pull away from the mold surface before the molder has had a chance to back the part with glass and resin. The release also reportedly does not require longer cure times, provides a high gloss, Class A finish, is easy to apply (no paste wax), has minimal build up and allows for the use of most standard fine-line tapes.
