SCIGRIP launches new MMA adhesive with increased thermal resistance

SCIGRIP has launched an enhanced methyl methacrylate (MMA) adhesive, SG 805, with increased temperature resistance, and appointed two new distributors in the U.K.

SCIGRIP (Durham, N.C.), a global supplier of adhesive solutions, has launched an enhanced methyl methacrylate (MMA) adhesive, SG 805, with increased temperature resistance and appointed two new distributors in the U.K.:  Paint Services Group Ltd. (PSG, Surrey, U.K.) and WI Polymers Ltd. (Dublin, Ireland).

Primarily formulated for the bonding of components in the automotive, transportation and heavy truck sectors, SG 805 reportedly allows greater flexibility of material selection and processing operations including paint curing cycles. SG 805 will appeal to manufacturers of composite structures who are seeking to improve the aesthetics of their components while optimizing part design, production speeds and ultimately reducing costs.

This development follows on from SCIGRIP’s recent product offerings that have extended working times, thick bond lines, Fire Smoke and Toxicity (FST) certification and reduced print-through.
