XTEND 825 mold release from Axel Plastics Research Labs (Woodside, N.Y., U.S.A.) provides high-slip performance in resin transfer molding (RTM), and in any molding scenario involving parts without gel coats or the use of DCPD-modified or other difficult-to-process resins. Designed to reduce buildup, ease mold cleanup and improve release on "B" or plug sides of molds, the HAP-free, solvent-based product can be applied at elevated temperatures (40°C to 95°C/100°F to 200°F), allowing recoating of RTM molds without having to remove them from service.
