Huntsman Advanced Materials (formerly Vantico, East Lansing, Mich., U.S.A.) introduces its advanced RenInfusion 8615/Ren 8615 204°C/400°F epoxy, formulated for resin infusion. Its low viscosity (500 cps) and extended 20-hour gel time makes it suitable for molding large components. Intended for use in production of high-temperature composite tooling and parts, the transparent, two-part material cures to Shore 87D hardness, with flexural strength of 10,000 psi and flexural modulus of 430,000 psi, says the company.
