Machinery manufacturer Fibermaq (Sao Paulo, Brazil) has developed Pulltech, a new pultrusion system for composite profiles. The machine comes in two versions. The simplest produces profiles up to 90 mm/3.5 inches wide, with 2,200 lb/1,000 kg maximum traction. The more robust version produces profiles from 80 to 500 mm (3.2 to 19.6 inches) wide, with up to 20,000 lb/9,072 kg of traction. Profile handling can be either hydraulic or pneumatic, and the system can be provided with a PLC touch screen and an electrical or mechanical device to control the pultrusion power.
