Portable hardness tester combines ultrasonic, rebound methods

Agfa NDT Inc., Krautkramer Ultrasonic Systems' (Lewistown, Pa., U.S.A.) new MIC 20 portable hardness tester combines, for the first time, a UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) tester and rebound test methods in the same instrument, enabling the user to test both fine-grained materials and coarse-grained castings.
