Axson North America Inc. (Eaton Rapids, Mich., a div. of Axson, Cergy, France) has introduced two new polyester filler products. APF Light is a light, thin-film coating for molds, patterns and repair applications; it’s designed for use as a skim coating and final preparation coating prior to painting. The filler properties are suitable for repair in body and marine shops for fairing and coating prior to the finish coating. The second product, PMF, is designed for the patternmaker and is used to fill voids, repair over cuts and make design changes to both molds and patterns. PMF mixes to a smooth consistency, spreads evenly and cures to hardness for finishing.
