The polyaspartic gel coat reportedly offers good weatherability and durability for a life expectancy of years, not months. Accelerated weather testing also indicates the gel coat provides good color and gloss retention compared to traditional coating technology. The unique and adjustable reactivity of the polyaspartic esters allows for the design of fast-cure coatings tailored to the needs of the application. Faster curing results in significant money-saving productivity improvements, along with high-build, low-temperature curing and abrasion and corrosion resistance. The spray-applied, two-component, ambient-cure gel coat can be applied at colder temperatures than currently available coatings.
