Bettcher Industries (Birmingham, Ohio) has introduced Airshirz industrial pneumatic scissors, designed to reduce muscle fatigue when cutting Kevlar, carbon fiber, fiberglass and other engineered composite materials. The scissors feature an automatic spring-return action. Blade speed and position are fully controllable and blades can be stopped and opened at any time during the cutting process. A safety latch secures blades in a locked position to prevent damage and enhance safety when not in use. All units use standard 80 psi to 120 psi (5.5 bar to 8.3 bar) shop air.
