Charles Ross & Son Co. (Hauppauge, N.Y.) has developed a new model of its Ross Double Planetary Mixer (DPM). The device has a half-pint working capacity, which makes it suitable for bench-top research and development of highly viscous materials (as high as 6 million cps). The mixer comes complete with a vacuum system; a sight/charge port; a lightweight, jacketed mix vessel; and a thermocouple to sense batch temperature.
