Baycomp Company (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) has introduced new, continuous fiber-reinforced, recycled polyether terephthalate (PET) tapes, which the company claims have material properties comparable to polyamide or thermoset resin materials. The tapes are available with uni glass or carbon reinforcement in two versions with 60 and 70 percent fiber volume, respectively. Tapes can be had in 48-inch/1,220-mm widths.
