Pelletron (Lancaster, Pa., U.S.A.) has redesigned its P-600 Deduster, an industrial dust removal system designed for large plastics and other chemical industry applications. Available in fourth quarter 2003, the system features dust collection capacity as high as 30 tons of material per hour. This level of efficiency is reached by means of the system's "split design" - the unit features two, larger air wash decks (rather than one), two Venturi chambers and two flux field generators. The two-fold design provides greater control of airflow, allowing for a wider variety of flow rates and fines contents, resulting in more efficient operation, according to the company. Select 246
