Alconox Inc. (White Plains, N.Y.) has developed TERGAJET powder and SOLUJET liquid detergents in response to growing demand for high-performance cleaners for parts washing that are low-foaming and phosphate-free. The new cleaners are reportedly biodegradable, easily disposable and rinse free of residue. They can clean glass, stainless steel, Teflon, ceramics, alkali-resistant plastics and metals and can be used to remove oils, organics, resins, adhesives, particulates, salts, oxides, metal complexes, inorganic residues, chemicals and solvents.
