R/D Tech's (Quebec, Canada) new OmniScan MX modular and portable tester family includes both phased array and eddy current array units and are designed to meet the most demanding nondestructive testing (NDT) requirements. The devices offer a high-speed acquisition rate and powerful software features in a modular mainframe, designed to enable the operator to efficiently perform manual and automated inspections. The testers can run 6 hours on two lithium-ion batteries and feature real-time displays (SVGA resolution of 800x600 ppi), plus scroll knobs and function keys to ease function browsing and selection.
