Visual Collaboration Technologies Inc. (Troy, Mich.) has released VCollab 2006, a suite of software that offers the first common platform for viewing and manipulating 3-D digital product design, analysis and manufacturing information authorized in different computer-aided engineering (CAE) formats. The software enables individuals and groups involved in development of a product to share and interact with complex CAD/CAM/CAE files, without having to access the native applications. The suite includes VCollab Pro, scalable, high-performance visualizations software; VCollab Presenter, a feature-rich, easy-to-use CAx viewing software program; and VMove CAE, a direct, native reader of CAE output results that also converts native CAE results files into highly compressed VCollab.vcb files based on user inputs.
