Numerical Control Computer Sciences (NCCS, Newport Beach, Calif.) has announced new capabilities for its NCL multiaxis machining software. The additional capabilities have been added to the software’s flow-line milling option, which automates the machining strategies used to create toolpaths. The result is a group of new strategies that include the ability to machine multiple surfaces in a single operation, the option to mill around avoidance surfaces and the ability to control the axis of the tool with a secondary part surface to assist in machining highly curved surfaces.
