Anter Corp. (Pittsburgh, Pa.) has developed a flexible dilatometer for high-throughput thermal expansion measurements. It uses a modular design and can test a wide variety of materials over a temperature range of -150°C/-238°F to 1200°C/2192°F. As many as four independent samples can be tested at the same time with unattended operation, enabling overnight test runs. The Windows-based operating and data analysis software does not require extensive training. Its small size also minimizes bench space requirements.
