CCE (Farmington Hills, Mich.) says that Version 2 of its EnSuite multi-CAD viewing, translation and productivity software adds two capabilities to the package: The first enables users to transform and rotate components in heterogeneous and homogenous assemblies. This feature reportedly enhances the ability of users to work with assemblies created by inserting components from single or multiple CAD systems. The second permits each party involved in a collaborative product development project to create and modify components in his/her own CAD system and also allows the entire assembly to be viewed, evaluated and marked up in a single environment. Additionally, markup and CAD data can be stored in a single file. Compatible CAD formats include Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA (v4 and v5), SolidWorks, Unigraphics, IGES, STEP and Parasolid.
