Socomore (Ft. Worth, TX, US) showcased its products used for aerospace fabrication, either composite or metallic. On display was their moldable epoxy shim material from Socomore’s Dynamold division, DMS-4-828, which quickly cures at room temperature. Used to shim gaps or offsets during component fabrication, the new material is available as an easy-to-apply, frozen, precatalyzed sheet with removable paper backing in various thicknesses. It can also be supplied as a two-part liquid system to cast custom shims in place for complex part contours or undersized parts. Also on display was the company’s new SOCOPAC WBP water-based CIC. Quick drying at any temperature or humidity level and no tackiness when cured, this product is said to provide excellent durability and corrosion protection.
