Franklynn Industries (Cincinnati, Ohio) recently introduced DiamondKote 4006 (DKW 4006) composite mold release that offers reportedly superior release-ease and performance in termed mandrel wrap applications, such as golf and hockey stick shafts, fishing rods, high-performance bike components and wind-surfing booms. The product is designed to reduce build-up of epoxy remnants on the mandrel. It can be bath-applied or wiped directly onto tooling, and also can be used in epoxy prepreg compression molding and bladder molding applications.
