The side locks and round locks are designed to extend the life of core pins and ejector pins by providing consistent alignment of mold halves. The male section is machined from tooling steel with black oxide, and the female component is made from D2 tooling steel, both to Rockwell C 58-62 hardness. Side locks come in eight sizes.
