MAXGUARD 33LE, a new boat manufacturing MACT-compliant line of color gel coats released by Ashland Composite Polymers (Columbus, Ohio), features the company's patented LE (low-emission) technology and is specially formulated for use in marine applications. The gel coats reportedly have improved weathering and excellent application properties and exhibit reduced blush compared to previous formulations. Available in custom colors, which can be matched to the color palette of the customer's existing line, the products have a maximum of 33 percent hazardous air pollution (HAP) content.
