Scott Bader (Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, U.K.) is launching at JEC Europe 2013 several new gelcoat products, including an ultralow-styrene content spray gelcoat Crystic Ecogel S1PA. According to Scott Bader’s research and development team, Ecogel S1PA has been independently tested and proven to be able to cut total styrene emissions by more than 55 percent. Also new is Crystic gelcoat 15PA, a new vinyl ester (VE) spray tooling. It is a high-performance tooling gelcoat that is said to offer superior gloss retention. The company is emphasizing several other new products as well. On the stand, attendees will find a fully working Scalextric racing circuit; visitors can have a go at the JEC Paris Grand Prix circuit and test their racing skills, with daily trophy winners plus the chance to win the top prize of an iPad for the fastest 10-lap race time recorded by the end of the show.
