Anderson America Corp. (Charlotte, N.C.) has introduced its new, large-format — 4-ft by 8-ft (1.2m by 2.4m) — Cojet UV-curable CNC inkjet printer. The printing system uses a large flatbed table and UV-curable inks to imprint multicolor images on uncoated, large-sized and thick materials, including composites. Its well-supported print table enables printing on large, heavy pieces or many small pieces for volume production. A multizone vacuum system holds materials in place. The print resolution is 720 dpi, with six ink colors and two additional, optional inks; images are said to be photographic quality printing. The maximum print substrate thickness is 2 inches, and the maximum supportable substrate weight is 1,100 lb/500 kg.
