UniWest (United Western Technologies Corp., Pasco, Wash., U.S.A.) announces the US-1478 VisionProbe, designed to enable technicians to perform visual and NDT inspections in difficult-to-access and/or poorly lighted areas. Four high-intensity LED lights on the tiny camera fully illuminate objects for easier and more productive capture of images, using a variable-focus lens. The camera can be attached to probe handles or an inspector's hand, allowing the camera to be positioned easily to obtain the desired view. Images are displayed on the US-454 EddyView screen along with eddy current scans.
