C.A. Litzler Co. Inc. (Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.) has introduced a line of infrared heaters to compliment its infrared dryer line. Available in six series, including a system capable of enclosing round profiles (e.g., suitable for post-cure of pultruded rod). Benefits of the infrared design include fast ramp up to process temperature (25 to 45 seconds) and cool down to temperatures low enough to avoid substrate damage within 30 seconds. To ensure precise process temperatures, the company also offers custom-designed control systems, featuring solid state SCR power controllers (open- or closed-loop systems) featuring manual digital or dial controllers or programmable logic control with touch-screen operation.
