High-Performance Composites

GE Advanced Materials (Wilton, Conn.) has introduced SnapSil RTV230A/B, a two-component, room-temperature-cure silicone adhesive for industrial assembly applications. Designed for use in aerospace, medical, appliance and consumer goods applications, SnapSil RTV230 features a tack-free time of about 6 minutes and is suitable for applications where double-sided tape, mechanical fasteners or clamps might be used. It provides primerless adhesion to a variety of substrates, including fiberglass, steel, aluminum, Formica, polyacrylate, PVC and glass. The adhesive is available in a single cartridge that separates components until dispensed and can be applied with a standard dispensing gun. geplastics.gocomp.biz/12
