Rapid manufacturing systems supplier EOS GmbH (Munich, Germany) has introduced the EOSINT P 800, a high-temperature e-manufacturing system capable of building prototypes and limited-run parts via the laser-sintering process. The system is suitable for process temperatures of up to 385°C/725°F and is said to be the first in the world to operate at this temperature. Depending on the field of application, continuous operating temperature is 180°C to 260°C (356°F to 500°F), making it compatible with the company’s new sinterable material, tradenamed PEEK HP3, a member of the polyaryletherketone family.
