(Gorham, Maine), a first-time SAMPE exhibitor, demonstrated its DCS (dancer-controlled servo) device for high-speed precision tension control in highly extensible and sensitive web applications. Montalvo, a specialist in tension control technology, says DCS is easy to set up with built-in teach functions; provides outputs for a variety of data, including line speeds and reversing; and can control individual or multiple payouts from one interface. Also on display: U-Series underpillow block load cells that, when combined with pillow block-mounted bearings and a shaft, create a durable, easy-to-install and precise tension roll.
