Sealant Equipment & Engineering Inc. (Plymouth, Mich.) has introduced the Servo-Flo 608 metering system for high-speed, two-component meter/mix/dispense applications. The servo-driven meter is engineered to dispense two-part urethanes, epoxies, silicones and acrylics in temperature-controlled robotic and manual dispensing applications. It’s positive rod-displacement design eliminates the normal reload cycle of a standard rod-displacement system and enables the meter to dispense large volumes of material without reloading. The system enables the user to dial in the material ratio and use more than one material formulation. For example, one meter system can dispense two different resins using the same catalyst. Ratios and preset volumes are adjusted at the operator control panel; the system eliminates the need to change metering tubes when a ratio change is desired. The system is designed to dispense up to 200g/sec or 7 oz/sec (at 1:1 ratio). It also can vary the target ratio by a factor up to 10 times.
